Welcome to the site for the London Centre of the ULT where you will find details of the events and activities to which you are warmly invited to participate.

It's said that Theosophy is only for those who are looking for it and who sense that there is more to life than meets the eye.  It's for those who wish to know what it is to live up to mankind's full potential in all its variety and wisdom.

All seekers for truth - where ever and however they are located - are welcomed to the search for the rediscovery of that ancient and noble path that leads to a meaningful life.

For those able to come to London, the ULT Centre provides many activities and resources to students and visitors.

TALKS, STUDY & DEBATE: there is a programme of Sunday talks and study meetings which provide much opportunity for informed discussion.

STUDY GROUPS: on Wednesdays there are two groups that meet to read  Mme Blavatsky's great work 'The Secret Doctrine', at 7:00 pm, followed by 'Isis Unveiled' at 8:20 pm till 10 pm.

BOOKS FOR SALE:  a wide selection of books are available for purchase after the meetings, or by prior arrangement.

LIBRARY: a large number of reference books are available for research, by prior arrangement.  All meetings are held in the library.

Enquirers and visitors are welcome, no membership or association is required.  The events are always free and open to all.

Theosophy is the perennial philosophy that gives the practical teaching and knowledge to develop one’s inner evolution.   It teaches 

• Reincarnation, karma and the law of cycles 

• States of consciousness in dreams & after death

• Information on safe and reliable methods of meditation

• the Perennial Wisdom tradition from the great teachers of mankind

By integrating the ancient, rational and coherent ideas of religion, science and philosophy in our life we become better able to think through the important issues and decisions that affect us and all society.  This is part of what is meant by the declared policy of forming a "truer realisation of the SELF, a profounder conviction of Universal Brotherhood."

    The big issues in science, philosophy and religion have never been as relevant to man's progress as they are today.  We are often offered little more than the common choice of materialism on one hand and religious fundamentalism on the other, and in the middle of this we are witnessing remarkable changes in man's understanding about the nature of both the material universe and 'consciousness' in all its aspects.

    The perennial Ancient Wisdom - Theosophy - is the one underlying philosophy that can unite both religion and science, and offers a holistic way of life that is principled, practical and proven by many generations of seers and teachers.

     You are invited to come to discuss these current issues in the light of the philosophy.  If you are new to theosophical thought come with an open mind to listen to these new, lively and relevant paradigms.  They are simply presentations of the perennial philosophy, one that is increasingly widely recognised as necessary and wholly beneficent.

    The method of study used at the ULT is in-depth reading and debate of both the classic writings from the world's sacred traditions and also the modern theosophical literature of Mme Blavatsky and William Judge.  Group and individual study allows each one to proceed at a pace that suits them.  Continued study of the esoteric teachings is deeply rewarding, as has been proven by many who make it a life time's association.

CORRESPONDENCE COURSE: here you can apply for the Theosophy Correspondence Course, which is useful for those without regular access to meetings or study groups.  It provides an introduction to the perennial philosophy in a series of topics arranged for study at home and comes well recommended.

There are no charges for any ULT activities or courses.
